Service update - sent files

Please note on 28th February 2018 we have updated GoFileDrop to use Google Cloud Storage when sending files.

This update will enable an even more reliable service going forward.

If you have any pending sent files please re-send them as files sent previous to 28th February will no longer be accessible.

The update only effects sent files not files received.

If you have any pending sent files we recommend deleting the existing files using the delete icon (on the right of the sent files view) and sending the files again.

Thank you,
The GoFileDrop team

Set the ReplyTo email address for upload confirmation messages

If you login to GoFileDrop and open your settings page you will see the "Reply To email address field" - here you specify an email address (it defaults to the email you are using with GoFileDrop) that is used as the reply to email address on the confirmation email sent to people who upload files to your GoFileDrop account.
Imagine the scenario where you are using a Gmail account with GoFileDrop such as, you may not want that email address to be used as the reply to address for business clients uploading files to you. You can set the Replyto address to anything you like such as and this will then be used instead of the Gmail address which gives a more professional appearance.

Your Texts and Emails are a Ticking Time Bomb, According to This Green Beret

GoFileDrop provides secure file collaboration for your organization.

Former Green Beret Sergeant Major (retired) Karl Erickson has over 25 years of military experience -- he's been in firefights, has led combined joint task force missions, and been trusted with the protection of important officials and top-secret information. In his decades of service, he has faced all kinds of weapons and seen how they can be employed to cause as much chaos as possible. And, he says, that one of the most powerful weapons in the world that could be used against you is that last text you sent. The big secret is that there are no secrets."You can buy all kinds of encryption and anti-virus software, but that does not make your communications secure at all. Understand this: the U.S. military has the best encryption in the world, and the U.S. military accepts as fact that China is reading every top-secret email we send. I’ll say that again: Everything sent via email by the U.S. government is assumed …

Subscription price change - increased performance and reliability

We have implemented a new performance-based Google Appengine architecture to run GoFileDrop.

The new architecture uses a great deal more processing power to provide extremely reliable file transfer, this also means increased subscription prices.

Our mission is to build the most reliable and technologically advanced file transfer solution, we believe that quality is worth paying for.

Cloud to Cloud file transfer provides incredible file transfer speed and increased security

We are always working to keep GoFileDrop at the cutting edge of file transfer technology and we are now introducing "Cloud to Cloud file transfer".

More than ever people are keeping their files in the Cloud, the advantages of doing so are well documented.

When it comes to sending those files to other people GoFileDrop provides a completely secure mechanism for the sender to select a file from their cloud and it is then sent to the recipient's cloud storage, no need to upload a file that already exists in the cloud.

This provides convenience and additional security to all parties involved in the transaction, it also makes it possible to transfer files at incredible speeds.

In a recent test we transferred 800,000 MB of data in 1.89 seconds using our cloud to cloud transfer technology, assuming a relatively fast internet connection of 20 Mps upload speed the same transfer on a regular "upload from device" would take just over three days.
